VMWare에 ubuntu를 설치하는 중 error가 발생했다.

(2) Power-cycle the host if either of these BIOS/firmware settings have been changed.
(3) Power-cycle the host if you have not done so since installing VMware Workstation.
(4) Update the host's BIOS/firmware to the latest version.
여러 자료들에서 찾아 본, 에러가 발생하는 이유는
BIOS에서 Intel Virtualization Technology 기능이 Disabled 로 설정 되어있거나,
BIOS가 구버젼이라, Intel Virtualization Technology 기능을 활성화 할 수 있는 메뉴가 없거나,
CPU가 Virtualization Technology 를 지원하지 않는 경우이다.
위의 사항에 대한 해결책은 간단하다.
시스템을 Reboot하자마자 F10을 누르면 BIOS화면으로 진입을 하게 된다.
이 BIOS화면에서 Disabled 되어있는 Virtualization Technology를 Enabled로 바꿔주고, 시스템을 Reboot하면 된다.
혹시나, BIOS에 Virtualization Technology 기능을 활성화 할 수 있는 메뉴가 없다면, 메인보드 제조사 홈페이지에서 최신 BIOS를 다운받아, 업데이트를 진행하여 주고, 위의 과정을 다시 진행하면 된다.
CPU가 Virtualization Technology 를 지원하는지 하지 않는 지는 제조사 홈페이지에서 확인이 가능하다.
